16 Naval Aviators Receive Golden Wings from Vice Admiral Bhalla at INS Rajali Ceremony
Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, who serves as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, bestowed the esteemed Golden Wings upon 16 pilots graduating from the 105th Helicopter Conversion Course (HCC). The ceremonial event took place on 9 December at INS Rajali, the Indian Navy’s leading naval air station.

In his address to the newly minted aviators, Vice Admiral Bhalla extended congratulations on their successful completion of an arduous training program and their induction into the esteemed rotor-wing fleet of the Naval Air Arm. He praised their perseverance, professional excellence, and readiness to undertake operational roles in challenging maritime conditions.

These 16 pilots, now officially part of the naval helicopter aircrew, are set to join the frontline units of the Indian Navy. Their assignments will include essential missions such as maritime surveillance, search and rescue (SAR), anti-piracy patrols, and various other operations critical to India's maritime security.

The event underscored the Navy's ongoing commitment to enhancing its airborne capabilities and equipping its young aviators to meet multi-domain operational challenges across the Indo-Pacific region.
