Identical Twins Pass Out Together From Air Force Medical Training Centre
Bengaluru: The Indian Air Force on Friday saw 144 Medical Assistants complete their trade phase training at the Medical Training Centre (MTC), Air Force, Bengaluru, in a ceremony that marked their readiness to take up medical support duties across the service.
The completion of the course was commemorated with a Passing-Out Parade at the centre, where the newly trained personnel displayed the discipline and professional standards expected of them as they move into operational roles within the IAF’s healthcare system.
The parade was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal SGS Datta, Principal Medical Officer, Headquarters Training Command. Dignitaries from Indian Air Force and Indian Army units based in Bengaluru were also present for the occasion.
During the ceremony, trainees who performed exceptionally well across different aspects of the course were recognised for their achievements. Leading Aircraftsman Agilan V received the award for Best in Trade, while Leading Aircraftsman Rakshith Kumar R was named Best in Course. Aircraftsman Gokul K was awarded Best in Emergency Medical Technician (Basic), and Aircraftsman Jagannath M received the Best in Ground Service Training award.
The Medical Training Centre’s trade phase training is designed to equip Medical Assistants with the skills needed to support healthcare delivery and medical services at Air Force establishments. With the completion of this course, the 144 personnel will now proceed to perform duties within the Indian Air Force’s medical support framework.
Addressing the trainees, they were urged to continue striving for excellence and to maintain the highest standards of professionalism as they advance in their careers in the Air Force.
A distinctive feature of the parade was the presence of identical twins among the graduating trainees, which added a memorable note to the event.
The Bengaluru-based Medical Training Centre remains a key institution for preparing IAF personnel for medical support responsibilities through specialised training, and the graduation of the 144 Medical Assistants represents their transition from training to active professional service.
