1,602 Agniveers Graduate from BEG & Centre Roorkee in Grand Passing Out Parade

A ceremonial Passing Out Parade (POP) took place on May 30, 2026, at the Bengal Engineer Group and Centre (BEG & Centre) in Roorkee. The event celebrated the graduation of 1,602 Agniveers of the 7th Batch, marking the completion of their military training.

The Centre Commandant conducted a review of the parade, inspecting the contingents and congratulating the Agniveers. He commended them on completing their intensive training and becoming future-ready Combat Engineers in the Indian Army.

The Agniveers showcased outstanding drill, discipline, military posture, and professionalism, which underscored the high-quality training they received at one of the Army's leading engineering institutions.

During their training, the Agniveers underwent rigorous physical conditioning, learned military skills, and received instruction in combat engineering and technical education. This training was designed to equip them for the challenges of modern battlefields and operational duties.

In his address to the new soldiers, the reviewing officer urged them to uphold the ethos of the Indian Army, "Service Before Self," and to embody the Sapper credo, "Sarvatra"—Everywhere.

According to officials, the Agniveers are now equipped with the necessary technical expertise, operational skills, and resilience to effectively contribute to military operations and nation-building efforts.

The Passing Out Parade was a significant and memorable occasion for both the Agniveers and their families. As they begin their journey of service, honor, and commitment, they embark on a future as the Sappers of the Indian Army.
