On June 20, 2026, 1,522 Agniveers were officially attested at the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School (MIC&S) in Ahilyanagar upon successfully completing 24 weeks of intensive military training.

The Attestation Parade marked a pivotal moment for the young recruits as they took an oath of service, signifying their formal induction into the Indian Army.

The parade was overseen by the Commandant of the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School, who extended congratulations to the Agniveers for their successful transformation into disciplined and combat-ready soldiers.

During the ceremony, the newly attested soldiers committed to upholding the values, traditions, and ethos of both the Indian Army and the Mechanised Infantry Regiment. This event was the culmination of months dedicated to rigorous training focused on military skills, physical conditioning, discipline, leadership, and operational readiness.

A notable aspect of the event was the presentation of the "Gaurav Padak" to parents, recognizing their role in nation-building and their encouragement for their children to serve. This gesture highlighted the important influence families have in shaping the character and values of prospective soldiers.

Throughout their training, the Agniveers gained professional military skills and knowledge necessary for modern warfare, while adhering to the highest standards of discipline and conduct expected of soldiers.

Senior officers praised the recruits for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment during the training phase, urging them to serve with honor, courage, and integrity.

The Attestation Parade underscored the Indian Army's dedication to developing a proficient, disciplined, and forward-thinking force, ready to safeguard national security and uphold the Mechanised Infantry Regiment's proud heritage.

As they commence their military careers, these 1,522 newly attested Agniveers embody the spirit of duty, sacrifice, and service that is emblematic of the Indian Army.
