Young Officers’ Course Delegation Observes Joint Air Maintenance Exercise at Air Force Station Yelahanka
On January 8, 2026, a group of thirty officers from the Young Officers’ Course, along with students from the Last Mile Delivery and Drone Flying Cadre, visited Air Force Station Yelahanka. The event, organized by the Army Service Corps Centre and College, also included six officers from the Friendly Foreign Countries of Cameroon, Lesotho, and Jamaica. This visit underscores India's expanding defense training collaborations with its international partners.

A Live Air Drop Demonstration was conducted during the visit, showcasing the operational capabilities of the Army Service Corps with support from the Indian Air Force. The demonstration emphasized the ability to deliver essential supplies swiftly and accurately to troops stationed in remote and high-risk areas.
This exercise highlighted the critical need for seamless coordination between the Army and the Air Force, particularly in maintaining operations within contested or logistically difficult environments. Participants received briefings on various aspects including planning, aircraft coordination, precision delivery techniques, and the use of drones for last-mile logistics.

The visit emphasized the importance of joint efforts between different branches of the military and offered participants valuable insights into contemporary logistics strategies. This exposure is crucial for ensuring efficient and resilient supply chains to meet future battlefield demands.
