Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty Evaluates Strategic Readiness in Northern Andaman Islands
Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty, AVSM, who serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), conducted a visit to the Northern Group of Islands to evaluate the operational readiness of the tri-services and assess the development of strategic infrastructure in the region.
During his tour, Vice Admiral McCarty was briefed on how well the formations are prepared operationally and examined the capabilities of units from the Andaman and Nicobar Command stationed on these strategically significant islands.
The Vice Admiral also evaluated the command's readiness to tackle emerging security threats while reinforcing India's maritime and island defences in the area.
He praised the personnel for their professionalism and noted the exceptional integration of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He emphasized that such cooperation is crucial for enhancing both security and operational efficiency in the island territories.
