Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena Graces Valedictory Dinner at Indian Naval Academy

A sense of pride and nostalgia filled the Katari Cadets’ Mess at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) during the recent Valedictory Dinner. The event brought together Passing Out trainees and their families in anticipation of the forthcoming Passing Out Parade.

Parents of the graduating trainees experienced poignant moments as they visited the iconic mess hall, which had served as a home away from home throughout the cadets' rigorous training period.

According to officials, the Katari Cadets’ Mess represents camaraderie, resilience, and shared experiences. It is here that trainees built lasting friendships while adjusting to the demanding naval routines.

The event was attended by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, AVSM, NM, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command, who is also the Reviewing Officer for the upcoming Passing Out Parade.

During his address, Vice Adm Saxena extended heartfelt congratulations to the cadets for completing their challenging training. He acknowledged the steadfast support provided by their parents throughout this journey.

He emphasized that the trainees stood at the brink of becoming officers in the Indian Navy, just hours away from reaching one of the most significant milestones in their military careers.

The ceremony encapsulated the essence of naval tradition, leadership, discipline, and unity, which continue to mold future maritime leaders at the Indian Naval Academy.
