Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena Evaluates INS Shivaji and Launches Advanced Training Facilities

Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, holding the position of AVSM, NM as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command, paid a visit to INS Shivaji from March 25 to 26 to evaluate the unit's operational readiness and training protocols.

Throughout his visit, Vice Admiral Saxena examined the unit's dedication to upholding exceptional standards in professional training and operational preparedness. This visit reinforced the Indian Navy's commitment to maintaining excellence in the technical and engineering sectors.

During the event, he officially opened a new Foreign Trainee Accommodation Block designed to improve amenities for international trainees. Additionally, he introduced an Advanced Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) Training Simulator, enhancing the technical training capabilities significantly.

This new infrastructure aims to bolster training delivery, increase capacity, and aid the Navy in its growing mission to train personnel from allied foreign nations.

The visit highlights the Indian Navy's ongoing focus on modernizing its training facilities, ensuring a highly skilled force ready to tackle emerging maritime challenges.
