Uttarakhand CM Honors Indian Army's 127 Ecological Task Force for Environmental Conservation
The Indian Army's 127 Ecological Task Force (ETF) has been recognized with the Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s Appreciation Award for 2025-26, acknowledging its significant efforts in environmental conservation.

The unit received accolades for its environmental initiatives, including the planting of over 950,000 saplings, spearheading the impactful “Bhagidari aur Zimmedari” campaign, and fostering community-led ecological responsibility.

The award presentation took place at the office of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun, where the Commanding Officer and Subedar Major accepted the honor on behalf of the task force.
This initiative demonstrates a strong connection between military efforts and local communities, promoting environmental consciousness and collaborative sustainable development efforts.
