UPSC NDA & CDS 2026: Provisional Answer Keys Release and Updated Representation Process Announced

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a corrigendum for the NDA & NA Examination-I 2026 and the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination-I 2026 notifications, implementing significant changes in the candidate representation process.

The updated guidelines now permit candidates to file objections against both the question papers and the provisional answer keys. Previously, candidates could only contest the question papers.

Moreover, the period for raising objections has been altered from a flexible 7-day period to a fixed 5-day window:

Start Date: April 18, 2026
End Date: April 22, 2026 (till 6:00 PM)

The UPSC has also stated that the provisional answer keys will be made available by April 16, 2026, allowing candidates enough time to review them before filing any objections.

All representations are required to be submitted through the official UPSC portal:
upsconline.nic.in → Examinations → Representations on Question Paper & Provisional Answer Keys

Key points reiterated by the Commission include:

  • Objections will not be accepted via email, post, or hand delivery
  • No correspondence will be entertained after submission
  • Late submissions beyond the 5-day window will not be considered

The updated rules are applicable to both the NDA & NA Examination-I 2026 and the CDS Examination-I 2026.

This initiative aims to improve transparency, fairness, and accountability within the examination process by allowing a structured period for challenging official answer keys.

Candidates are encouraged to:

  • Regularly check the official UPSC website
  • Thoroughly examine question papers and answer keys
  • Submit valid objections within the designated timeframe

This update plays a crucial role for aspirants as accurate and timely representations can affect the final assessment and outcomes of the examinations.
