Tri-Service Officers Successfully Complete Net Assessment Training at Defence College
A Management Development Programme focusing on Net Assessment concluded over a six-day period at the College of Defence Management (CDM), Integrated Defence Staff. The event provided Tri-Service officers with in-depth knowledge on strategic analysis and national security planning.
Twenty-two officers from various Tri-Service organisations participated in the programme, engaging in rigorous training on the methods and principles of Net Assessments amidst a changing geopolitical landscape.

Throughout the course, attendees explored critical components of strategic management, geopolitics, and national power, as well as emerging security issues. The curriculum emphasized the role of SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Analysis as a vital tool in assessing strategic environments and guiding decision-making.
The programme also delved into the development of national security strategies and underscored the importance of comprehensive assessments for understanding the strengths and weaknesses of nations, organisations, and military forces within a global context.

Through diverse learning methods including lectures, discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, the officers enhanced their skills in Net Assessments and the application of analytical frameworks to intricate security challenges.
This successful programme highlights the Indian Armed Forces' ongoing focus on professional military education, strategic thought, and capacity building to confront modern and future security issues.
