Tragic Death of Young NDA Cadet Antriksh Kumar Singh in His Room
The National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla is mourning the unexpected death of Cadet Antriksh Kumar Singh, a first-term trainee, who passed away in the early hours of October 10, 2025.
Official reports state that the cadet, who had recently commenced his demanding military training at the esteemed academy, was discovered unresponsive in his cabin by fellow cadets when he did not arrive for the day's scheduled activities. Despite receiving immediate medical attention and being swiftly transported to the Military Hospital in Khadakwasla, doctors declared him brought dead at 06:30 hours.
Cadet Antriksh Kumar Singh, hailing from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was recognized as the son of a former serviceman and a member of Charlie Squadron at the NDA. He had joined the academy in July 2025 to embark on his military training journey.
The cadet's family has been notified, and local police have been informed of the incident. Academy officials have initiated a Court of Inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
In an official statement, the NDA extended its deepest condolences to Cadet Singh's family, affirming the academy's support during this challenging time. The institution highlighted the tight-knit community at NDA, which values bravery, discipline, and camaraderie, and expressed that the loss of such a promising young individual is deeply felt by all cadets and instructors.
In response to the news, Shishir Dixit, Founder of Centurion Defence Academy, expressed profound sorrow over Cadet Singh's passing. Dixit described him as an outstanding student who was exceptionally disciplined and motivated to serve the nation. Cadet Singh had successfully cleared the NDA 154 course for the Indian Air Force from 1 AFSB, showcasing his dedication and intelligence.
