Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin Launches ‘Saksham’ Mobility Clinic at Pune’s Artificial Limb Centre
During the 82nd anniversary celebration of the Artificial Limb Centre (ALC) in Pune, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, the Director General of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), inaugurated a new Holistic Mobility Clinic called "Saksham" for the benefit of the centre's differently abled patrons.
The ceremony saw the presence of several prominent figures including Surgeon Vice Admiral Anupam Kapur, Director General of Health Services (Armed Forces), Lieutenant General Pankaj P Rao, the Director and Commandant of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), and Surgeon Rear Admiral Rajat Shukla, Assistant Director General of Medical Research, Health and Training at the DGAFMS office.

The "Saksham" clinic, now operational, consolidates various clinical rehabilitation services within a single facility. It is furnished with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by specialized medical personnel, all focused on enhancing mobility support, rehabilitation care, and treatment outcomes for its users.

Officials commented that this initiative is poised to significantly improve the patient rehabilitation experience by offering comprehensive and patient-focused care through advanced equipment and cohesive medical services.

The opening of the clinic underscores the Armed Forces Medical Services' ongoing dedication to enhancing rehabilitation infrastructure, specialized healthcare, and the quality of life for differently abled personnel and other beneficiaries.
