Reliance-Dassault Partnership to Manufacture Falcon 2000 Jets in India’s Nagpur

In a significant development for India's aerospace sector, Reliance Infrastructure's subsidiary has joined forces with Dassault Aviation of France to manufacture Falcon 2000 business jets in India. This collaboration was revealed in a joint statement by the two companies on Wednesday.
The production facility will be established in Nagpur, Maharashtra, marking the first instance of Dassault manufacturing Falcon 2000 jets outside its home country of France. This initiative is a part of the broader defense and aerospace collaboration between India and France and aims to bolster India's aviation capabilities under the Make in India initiative.

The companies have projected that the first jets manufactured in India will be ready for delivery by 2028, intended for both corporate and military uses. The Falcon 2000 is renowned for its extended range, cutting-edge avionics, and adaptability across various mission profiles.
Following the announcement, Reliance Infrastructure's stock experienced a 5% increase in afternoon trading. Industry experts view this development as a pivotal moment in India's quest to become a global player in the aerospace industry, with potential benefits including enhanced high-skill employment, technology transfer, and export opportunities.
