Rear Admiral Vidhyadhar Harke Appointed as New Flag Officer Sea Training for the Indian Navy
Rear Admiral Vidhyadhar Harke has assumed the role of the 27th Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), a notable addition to the leadership within the Indian Navy's training division. With a commendable career and a wealth of operational experience, he is well-regarded for his outstanding service record.

Rear Admiral Harke is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and has graduated from both the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington and the Naval War College in Goa. His extensive maritime career includes significant roles such as the Commissioning Commanding Officer of the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and commanding the amphibious transport dock INS Jalashwa.

Prior to his current appointment as FOST, he served as the Chief Staff Officer (Operations) at the Western Naval Command, where he was responsible for overseeing numerous operational deployments and critical missions across the region.
In recognition of his exceptional service, Rear Admiral Harke has been awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), highlighting his high-order distinguished service.

His leadership is anticipated to further bolster the Navy's operational preparedness and improve the quality of sea training throughout the fleet.
