Rajouri and Poonch Students Experience Indian Army Operations at School of Artillery Deolali
As an element of Operation Sadbhavana, a National Integration Tour consisting of 20 students and 4 teachers from the border regions of Rajouri and Poonch made a visit to the School of Artillery (SoA) in Deolali on November 6, 2025. The primary goals of the visit were to expand the students' horizons, instill national pride, and provide them with a direct experience of the Indian Army's operational and training environments.
Inspiring Young Minds through Exposure and Interaction
Throughout their visit, the students engaged with the Commandant of the School of Artillery, who imparted knowledge on leadership, discipline, and the career paths available within the Indian Armed Forces. This interaction served to motivate the young attendees to aspire to greater goals, build self-assurance, and nurture a spirit of service and unity.

Exploring Modern Military Training Infrastructure
The delegation was escorted on a comprehensive tour of the School of Artillery’s state-of-the-art training facilities, which included simulation systems, instructional halls, and sophisticated equipment used for gunnery training. The students received briefings on the pivotal role of artillery in national defence and how it has advanced through cutting-edge technology.

Thrilling Live Firing Experience
A major highlight for the students was witnessing a live artillery firing demonstration, which provided them with a rare view into the precision, power, and professionalism displayed by the Indian Army’s gunners. This demonstration left a profound impact on the students, instilling in them a deep admiration and respect for the armed forces.

Promoting Unity and Awareness through Operation Sadbhavana
This tour is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing Operation Sadbhavana initiative, which seeks to connect border communities with the broader nation by advocating for national integration, education, and mutual understanding. The visit to Deolali highlighted how the Army continues to inspire and empower youth from distant areas, fostering a stronger sense of national belonging.
