OTA Gaya Passing Out Parade: 207 Officer Cadets Commissioned into Indian Army

Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, serving as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, took part in evaluating the impressive Passing Out Parade for the Short Service Commission (Tech) Men-63 and SSC (Tech) Women-34 courses at the Officers Training Academy in Gaya. The event was marked by an exceptional display of drill, coordination, and presentation, reflecting the rigorous training, discipline, and commitment fostered by the academy.

During this notable event, 207 Officer Cadets were formally inducted as Officers into the Indian Army. The Army Commander offered his sincere congratulations to the cadets and extended his best wishes to their families. He emphasized the immense honor associated with wearing the uniform and serving the nation as part of the Indian Army.

General Sengupta also took part in the Pipping Ceremony, a highly anticipated event where he personally inducted some of the cadets into their new roles as Commissioned Officers. This ceremony marked the end of their intensive training and the commencement of their duties to the nation. In his address to the newly commissioned officers, he encouraged them to uphold the Indian Army's esteemed traditions, ethos, and values, while serving with integrity and honor.

In a tribute of respect, Lieutenant General Sengupta, along with Officer Cadets, laid a wreath at the OTA Gaya War Memorial. This gesture honored the Bravehearts and reflected the academy’s enduring values of commemorating the ultimate sacrifices made by soldiers of the Indian Army.

The event represented a significant milestone for the young officers as they assumed their roles as leaders, prepared to serve the nation with courage and dedication.
