Officer Cadet Sunil Kumar from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, is on the brink of creating history at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. He is set to participate in the Passing Out Parade (POP) on September 6, 2025, marking a significant milestone in his journey from humble beginnings to military distinction. From a Driver’s Son to Officer Cadet
Sunil Kumar, born into a humble household, epitomizes resilience and determination. Educated at Birla School, Pilani, and holding a degree in Analytical Chemistry from Kirorimal College, Delhi University, he faced numerous challenges but remained steadfast in his pursuit of a military career.
Before his acceptance into the OTA, Kumar demonstrated tremendous perseverance by attempting the Services Selection Board (SSB) 14 times, passing three Combined Defence Services (CDS) exams and five Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) exams. He also served as a Sub-Inspector in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), where he honed his discipline and resilience.
