Officer Cadet S Balu Honored with Military Funeral in Thiruvananthapuram

The body of Officer Cadet S Balu, who died during training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun, arrived in his hometown of Thiruvananthapuram last night.
Upon arrival at Pangode Military Station, the remains were honored with a full military ceremony. Senior officials placed wreaths in tribute, representing the Chief of Army Staff, the General Officer Commanding for Kerala and Karnataka Sub Area, and the Station Commander of Pangode Military Station.

Thiruvananthapuram District Collector Anukumari IAS laid wreaths on behalf of the state government and the Chief Minister. The cremation, also with full military honors, is scheduled to occur at Santhi Kavadam, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram.

Lieutenant General Nagendra Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM, who is the Commandant of the Indian Military Academy, also paid his respects to the late cadet. In his message of condolence, he affirmed that both the IMA and the Indian Army remain steadfast in their support for the grieving family during this difficult time.
