Netanyahu Alleges Iran Targeting Trump as Top Threat Due to Nuclear Policies

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Iran's Islamic regime identified former US President Donald Trump as their primary adversary due to his firm policies against Iran's nuclear ambitions, allegedly going so far as to plan his assassination. In a conversation with Fox News, Netanyahu emphasized that Trump's hardline approach and military strategies positioned him as Tehran's top target.

Netanyahu remarked, “They want to kill him. He’s enemy number one,” referring to Trump's moves to withdraw from the Iran nuclear agreement, authorize the killing of top Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani, and impose stringent sanctions. He described Trump as a resolute leader who clearly communicated that Iran could not possess a nuclear weapon, which included restrictions on uranium enrichment.

Netanyahu also disclosed a personal threat, mentioning that a missile once struck the bedroom window of his residence. He described himself as Trump’s “junior partner” in efforts to curtail Iran's nuclear potential and cautioned of an "imminent threat" posed by Iran’s expanding missile arsenal and advancing nuclear capabilities.

The Israeli leader noted that Iran is advancing towards the capability to produce as many as 3,600 ballistic missiles per year, with the potential to increase to 20,000 annually over the next 30 years. He stated, “No country can sustain that… and certainly not a country the size of Israel, so we had to act,” defending recent Israeli military interventions.

Netanyahu lauded Operation Rising Lion, Israel’s recent military initiative against Iran, describing it as “one of the greatest military operations in history.” He asserted that the operation severely impacted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and stressed that Israel's actions were undertaken not only for its own safety but also for global security.

Following Israel’s military actions, Iran launched a series of ballistic missile attacks, many of which were intercepted. Netanyahu expressed doubt regarding diplomatic talks with Tehran, labeling the discussions as futile, and assured that Israel would take all necessary measures to neutralize the threat.

In a direct message to the Iranian populace, Netanyahu stated that they had endured under the same regime for five decades and called for international cooperation to address and dismantle the nuclear threat.
