Naib Subedar Pragat Singh Killed in Action While Serving in Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir
In a tragic incident in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, Naib Subedar Pragat Singh of the Indian Army was martyred while performing his duty, marking a significant sacrifice in the service of his country.
The 31-year-old soldier hailed from Ramdass, located in Amritsar district of Punjab, and was a member of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles, a unit actively engaged in counter-terrorism efforts in the region. Having joined the Indian Army on December 23, 2015, Naib Subedar Pragat Singh served with a commendable level of dedication and courage throughout his military career.
The mortal remains of the fallen soldier are expected to arrive at his hometown by the evening, where arrangements are being made to honor him with full military rites. The final ceremonies are scheduled for tomorrow, to be attended by his family, community members, and Army representatives.
Naib Subedar Pragat Singh leaves behind his elderly parents, his wife, and two young children. His death has enveloped his village in mourning, as the community reflects on his legacy as a disciplined soldier and a caring family man.
