Myanmar Army Delegation Visits Indian Army’s MCMM in Jabalpur for Defence Exchange
Jabalpur, October 9, 2026: A three-member delegation from the Myanmar Army visited the Indian Army’s Military College of Material Management (MCMM) in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, from October 8 to 9, 2026, in a professional exchange focused on defence cooperation and training practices.
The visit was aimed at strengthening bilateral military ties while giving the visiting officers an opportunity to observe how the Indian Army trains personnel in logistics, material management and supply chain operations. During the two-day engagement, the Myanmar delegation toured the institution’s academic faculties and saw its training methodologies firsthand.
The delegation was introduced to the academic environment at MCMM, one of the Indian Army’s key training institutions for material management. The college specialises in logistics, procurement, inventory management and supply chain systems, areas that are central to sustaining military formations and maintaining operational readiness.
Officials said the interaction created space for professional engagement between Indian Army personnel and the visiting Myanmar officers, allowing both sides to exchange ideas on training approaches and share best practices related to military logistics and material management.
Military logistics has become increasingly important in modern warfare, where the timely movement of equipment, efficient resource management and effective supply chain coordination can directly affect a force’s operational capability. Institutions such as MCMM are responsible for preparing military personnel for those demands through specialised instruction.
