MCTE Convocation: Major Krishnapal Singh Leads Signals Engineering Course Graduates

The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow hosted the Convocation Ceremony for the Signals Officers Degree Engineering Course and the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) Course on June 19, 2026. The event marked the completion of advanced training for officers of the Indian Army and those from allied foreign nations.

Shri S. Krishnan, the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for the Government of India, officiated the ceremony. He commended the graduates on their dedication, perseverance, and exceptional academic accomplishments.

Among the graduates were six officers from Nepal, Gambia, Vietnam, and Bhutan, underscoring MCTE's commitment to fostering military collaboration and professional interaction with friendly foreign countries.

In his address, Shri Krishnan highlighted the significance of emerging technologies in national security and underscored the strategic alliance between MeitY and MCTE. He pointed out that cooperation in telecommunications, digital technologies, and innovation is pivotal in bolstering India's defense capabilities and furthering the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Major Krishnapal Singh received recognition for achieving First in Order of Merit in the Signals Officers Degree Engineering Course, reflecting his outstanding academic and professional performance.

Lieutenant Kapil was awarded First in Order of Merit in the Technical Entry Scheme Course, acknowledging his notable achievements throughout the programme.

The Signals Officers Degree Engineering Course and TES Course are esteemed technical training programmes within the Indian Army, aimed at preparing officers to excel in technologically advanced military operations.

Officials remarked that the completion of these courses underscores the Indian Army's focus on technological expertise, professional growth, and capacity development to address future military challenges.

The convocation served as a testament to academic excellence and the shared dedication of participating nations to advancing military education, technological progress, and defense collaboration.
