The development came just a day before the Indian Air Force’s annual observance on 8 October. Air Force Day this year marks 94 years since the service was raised on 8 October 1932. Parade Ground in Secunderabad falls within Begumpet police limits and is a regular ceremonial venue in the city. Air Force Station Begumpet is also located in the same area. Police have not said whether Pal’s presence near the ground was connected in any way to Air Force Day-related arrangements.
So far, the official account released by police confirms only that Pal claimed to be an IAF officer, that he is originally from Bihar and employed as a delivery agent in Hyderabad, and that a case has been filed.
