Major General Sanil Mohan Takes Command of Command Hospital (Southern Command), Pune
Major General Sanil Mohan took charge as the Commandant of the Command Hospital (Southern Command) in Pune on February 1, 2026. This appointment marks a new phase in the leadership of one of the Indian Army's leading tertiary care medical facilities.
An alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College, Major General Mohan completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies there. He is a well-regarded Professor of Anaesthesiology and a proficient Instructor in Trauma Care, bringing a wealth of clinical, academic, and administrative expertise from his esteemed medical career.
Before assuming his current role as a Major General, he served as the Brigadier Medical with the Sudarshan Chakra Corps. In this capacity, he significantly contributed to improving medical preparedness and bolstering trauma response capabilities in a strategically crucial operational setting.
