Major General Leads Gunnery Course Officers' Interaction at INS Dronacharya
On February 2-3, 2026, a group of twenty-nine student officers from the Long Gunnery Staff Course (LGSC), along with three Directing Staff, visited INS Dronacharya under the leadership of Major General VM Dhumne from the School of Artillery.
The visit served as a platform for professional interaction between two leading gunnery institutions of the Indian Army and Indian Navy. Key discussions were centered on boosting inter-service interoperability, enhancing joint warfighting capacities, and sharing best practices in areas such as gunnery training, firepower utilization, and modern combat methods.

During this interaction, there was a significant focus on comprehending current challenges in gunnery operations, adapting to evolving doctrines, and integrating technology into modern firepower planning. The aim was to foster deeper cooperation and mutual learning between gunnery professionals from the Army and Navy through the sharing of insights and experiences.

This visit highlighted the increasing focus on joint operations and synergy within the Armed Forces, reaffirming the dedication of both the Indian Army and Indian Navy to integrated training and operational excellence in a complex security environment.
