Maj Gen Suresh S Leads 83rd EME Corps Day Tributes at Smritika War Memorial

The 83rd Corps Day of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) was marked with pride, celebrating over eight decades of excellence in supporting the Indian Army's operational readiness and advancing its technological capabilities.
The Eagles fraternity of Surya Command paid tribute to the EME Corps, recognizing its significant role in sustaining the Army's combat capabilities and spearheading its technological advancements.
Major General Suresh S, MG EME, led the commemorative events by laying a wreath at the Smritika War Memorial in Lucknow, paying homage to the fallen heroes. Following the solemn ceremony, there was an interaction with veterans and serving EME members, highlighting the Corps' enduring legacy across different generations.

During his address, Major General Suresh S praised the Corps for its steadfast dedication to the motto "Karam Hi Dharma" (Work is Worship) and underscored the need for innovation and self-reliance in enhancing the Army's technological prowess.
For more than eighty years, the EME has been a crucial support to the Indian Army's combat readiness, handling everything from battlefield recovery and equipment maintenance to modernization and integration of advanced systems. The Corps ensures every machine, vehicle, and weapon system functions perfectly when required.
As the EME commemorates "83 Years of Brilliance in Bolt, Circuit & Courage," the celebration honors the Corps' legacy of technical prowess, courage, and its contribution to a self-sufficient and technologically advanced Indian Army.
