Maj Gen S Radhakrishanan Assumes Command of Army Institute of Cardio Thoracic Sciences, Pune

On September 26, 2024, a ceremonial transition took place at the Army Institute of Cardio Thoracic Sciences (AICTS) in Pune. Maj Gen PK Sharma, concluding a notable tenure, officially transferred leadership to Maj Gen S Radhakrishanan, who now steps in to command this esteemed institute.
Maj Gen PK Sharma has been a prominent figure in the Indian Army Medical Corps, recognized for his expertise as a Dermatologist and a Post Graduate teacher. Throughout his career, he has held several significant positions, including MG Med at HQ MB Area, head of the Department of Dermatology at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, and Commanding Officer of a Field Hospital in an operational area.

During his leadership at AICTS, the institute saw remarkable progress in clinical care, academic achievements, and medical innovation, enhancing its reputation as a leader in cardiac and thoracic sciences.
