Maj Gen Jitendra Singh Visits Sainik School Tilaiya, Urges Cadets to Join Indian Armed Forces
Maj Gen Jitendra Singh, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area and Chairman of the Local Board of Administration, visited Sainik School Tilaiya to review how the institution is functioning academically and administratively.
The visit focused on a broad assessment of the school’s day-to-day working, including academics, administration, student welfare and the residential facilities available to cadets. It also offered an opportunity to review the overall environment being provided for the students’ academic progress and personal development.
As part of the visit, Maj Gen Jitendra Singh met students and faculty members and spoke to them about the importance of academic excellence, character building, leadership and resilience. His interaction with the school community was aimed at reinforcing the values that shape cadets during their formative years.
Addressing the students, he urged them to stay focused on their goals and work towards their aspirations of joining the Indian Armed Forces. He also emphasised the values of discipline, courage and dedication, encouraging the cadets to prepare themselves for a life of service to the nation.
