Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Students Undergo Exposure Training at Kharga Sappers
A delegation of 50 students from the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) recently toured Kharga Sappers. This visit was part of an educational and motivational programme designed to develop future leaders for the Indian Armed Forces.

During their time at Kharga Sappers, the aspiring armed forces candidates were introduced to the Kharga Sapper Training Area. They were shown a Containerised Indoor Shooting Range, which provided them with insights into contemporary marksmanship training techniques. Additionally, the students observed demonstrations of specialised engineering equipment, showcasing the vital contributions of combat engineers in military operations.

The programme also included a brief tour of the Western Command CBRN School. Here, the students learned about the Army’s preparedness and training in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defence.

This visit proved to be an inspiring experience for the students, reinforcing the principles of discipline, leadership, and service. It also provided them with a closer understanding of life in the armed forces. The interaction exemplified the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to inspiring and preparing the next generation for futures in the nation’s military.
