Lt. Simran Singh Rathi Honored as Top Graduate at Bengaluru's Officers' Transport Management Course
Bengaluru, June 25, 2026: Lieutenant Simran Singh Rathi has been named the Best Student at the conclusion of the Officers' Transport Management Course held at the Army Service Corps Centre and College in Bengaluru on June 25, 2026.
This specialized military course united officers from the Indian Army with those from allied nations, underscoring an increased focus on international military collaboration, the exchange of knowledge, and professional advancement. Participants included officers from Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Lesotho, and Nepal along with their Indian colleagues.
The course emphasized enhancing the officers' expertise and professional abilities in transport management and the operational maintenance of Mechanical Transport fleets. It was crafted to provide attendees with skills applicable to managing, training, and maintaining the operational preparedness of transport resources within their units.
Lieutenant General J. K. Gera, Commandant of the ASC Centre and College, delivered the valedictory address. During his speech, he stressed the importance of keeping pace with the rapid technological advances in the automotive sector and encouraged the officers to stay informed about the latest innovations and emerging technologies.

General Gera urged the officers to apply the knowledge and experience gained from the course to train the troops under their command effectively. He also highlighted the necessity of maintaining Mechanical Transport fleets in a state of high operational readiness.
The inclusion of officers from Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Lesotho, and Nepal brought an international perspective to the course. This offered the participants a chance to share professional experiences, learn about diverse transport-management practices, and strengthen military bonds between India and its friendly foreign allies.

Captain Dipesh Budhathoki from the Nepal Army was recognized as the Best Foreign Officer of the course, acknowledging his exceptional performance and active participation during the training at the esteemed ASC Centre and College.
The successful completion of the Officers’ Transport Management Course marked another significant achievement for the ASC Centre and College in equipping military officers to efficiently manage transport resources and ensuring their units can meet operational demands.
