Lt General Vikas Lakhera Reviews Operational Readiness During Visit to Assam Rifles Units in Jammu and Kashmir
Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, who serves as the Director General of the Assam Rifles, conducted a visit to the Assam Rifles Battalion located at Wusan and the Company Operating Base at Kangan in Jammu and Kashmir to evaluate the state of operational readiness and security arrangements.
During his visit, he engaged with the troops stationed in these forward areas, expressing admiration for their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty despite the challenging conditions they face.
Lt Gen Lakhera also took the opportunity to examine the current operational environment and evaluate the readiness of the units deployed within the region.
In acknowledgment of exemplary service and significant contributions to the organization, the Director General awarded Assam Rifles Commendation Cards to selected personnel. These honors were given in recognition of their distinguished performance and dedication to operational duties.
