Lt Gen Zubin A Minwalla Takes Over as Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations)
Lieutenant General Zubin A. Minwalla has taken over as the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations), following the retirement of Air Marshal Rakesh Sinha, AVSM. Air Marshal Sinha concluded his 39-year distinguished career in the Indian Air Force.
Ensuring Continuity in Joint Operations Planning
In his new role, Lt Gen Minwalla will be instrumental in developing and executing joint operational plans. He will also issue joint operations directives to the service headquarters and work to enhance the synergy between the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The position further involves tasks related to the planning, coordination, and improvement of joint military operations, aligning with directives from the Raksha Mantri to ensure a cohesive approach to national defence strategy.
Farewell to Air Marshal Rakesh Sinha
During the transition, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), offered his sincere congratulations to Lt Gen Minwalla on his new appointment.
Air Marshal Dixit also extended warm farewell wishes to Air Marshal Rakesh Sinha, recognizing his prominent career and significant contributions to national defence.
