Lt Gen VMB Krishnan Evaluates Security and Preparedness in Manipur, Visits Key Locations

Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, conducted a visit to critical areas in Manipur, including Churachandpur, Moreh, and Shaibol, to assess the current security landscape and evaluate operational readiness.

Lt Gen Krishnan's visit was supported by senior officers, such as the General Officer Commanding of the Spear Corps and personnel from the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South).

The Army Commander received briefings on the operational dynamics in the area, which continues to be sensitive due to ongoing security concerns. He engaged with troops stationed in these forward locations, recognizing their dedication and resilience in maintaining peace and stability.

Lt Gen Krishnan praised the troops for upholding high standards of operational readiness, professionalism, and their steadfast commitment to duty under demanding circumstances.

This visit highlights the Indian Army’s continued dedication to vigilance and strengthening security measures in the Northeast, with a particular emphasis on key strategic locations like Moreh, situated on the India–Myanmar border.
