Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, who serves as the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), along with Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General of the NCC Directorate for Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, met with Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, SC**, SM, VSM, the General Officer Commanding of the 14 Corps.

The meeting underscored the significant cooperation and support provided by the Indian Army to NCC battalions operating in the region.

Both parties engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing NCC activities, bolstering training support, and improving infrastructure for the development of cadets across the territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

According to officials, the dialogue reaffirmed a mutual dedication to empowering young individuals through leadership development, discipline, adventure activities, and nation-building initiatives within the NCC framework.

The conversation also brought to light the crucial role of ongoing military-civil collaboration in fostering youth engagement and creating opportunities for cadets, particularly in strategically significant and remote areas of the nation.
