Lt Gen Sengupta Evaluates Tripeaks Brigade's Operational Readiness in Himachal Pradesh

In a pivotal move demonstrating operational oversight and strategic preparedness, Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Command, made a visit to the forward areas of Himachal Pradesh. This visit aimed to evaluate the readiness of the Tripeaks Brigade, highlighting the Army’s steadfast commitment to upholding national security in demanding mountainous regions.

During the inspection, Lieutenant General Sengupta praised the brigade for its significant contributions to enhancing combat readiness and playing a crucial role in bolstering India’s defensive posture along critical borders. He acknowledged the brigade's efforts in pioneering infrastructure development in challenging high-altitude terrains, which have notably improved the Army’s operational capabilities. The Army Commander also emphasized the brigade’s achievements in setting new standards in mountain warfare and border operations, aligning with the evolving strategic objectives of the Indian Army in the area.

Coinciding with the auspicious celebration of Vijayadashmi (Dussehra), Lieutenant General Sengupta took part in the traditional ‘Shastra Puja’. This sacred ceremony, symbolizing the sanctity and strength of the armed forces’ weapons and equipment, reaffirms the Army’s core values of bravery, discipline, and commitment to duty.
