Lt Gen Rajiv Kumar Sahni's Visit to Brahmastra Corps Highlights Technical Excellence and Indigenous Innovation
Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, who serves as the Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME), conducted a visit to the Brahmastra Corps under the Eastern Command from December 19 to 20, 2025.
During his visit, Lieutenant General Sahni engaged with the officers and troops, praising their exemplary levels of professionalism and technical proficiency. He highlighted the importance of their mission-ready maintenance support, which he described as vital for maintaining operational effectiveness in demanding environments.
The Director General also assessed key initiatives related to technology and innovation. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Drone Excellence Centre, particularly its contributions to advancing indigenous solutions and fostering self-reliance through innovation. These efforts align with the Indian Army's modernisation goals and the broader Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
