Lt Gen Sahni assessed various advanced projects that are transforming the Army's armament capabilities. Among these initiatives was the automation of legacy field guns under Project NAVYAS. This significant program aims to enhance the capabilities of older artillery systems through modern digital improvements. Additionally, he reviewed the integration of electric vehicle technology into the renowned Bofors artillery system, a groundbreaking move that prioritizes sustainability and efficiency. This initiative ensures that the artillery operates more quietly and with less environmental impact, while maintaining its powerful capabilities.
