Lt Gen Rajiv Kumar Sahni Commends Spear Corps for Operational Readiness and Indigenous Drone Technology Advancements

Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, AVSM, VSM, PhD, who serves as the Director General of the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME) and Colonel Commandant, recently paid a visit to the Spear Corps to engage with the personnel and evaluate their operational and technical preparedness.

During this visit, Lt Gen Sahni commended the troops for their professionalism and technical skill, highlighting the significant contribution of EME units in maintaining operational effectiveness in forward areas. He stressed the importance of their mission-oriented maintenance support.

Lt Gen Sahni also assessed the progress in indigenous drone development at the Corps’ Drone Excellence Centre. He praised the team's efforts in promoting self-reliance through innovative and indigenous defence technologies. This initiative supports the broader Atmanirbhar Bharat mission, strengthening India's capabilities in modern military technology.
