Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Reviews Operation KORAG, Security Situation in South Kashmir

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of Northern Command, visited South Kashmir to review the progress of Operation KORAG and assess the prevailing security situation in the region, as the Army continues its counter-terror operations there.

During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma examined the pace and direction of the ongoing operation and took stock of the security environment on the ground. The review also gave him an opportunity to assess the efforts being undertaken by the formations involved in the counter-terror effort.

The Army Commander commended the formation for its synergy, dedication, perseverance and commitment to conducting relentless counter-terror operations. He also appreciated the sustained efforts of the troops and their continued focus on operational responsibilities in the region.

He stressed the need to maintain the same level of dedication and commitment while carrying out counter-terror operations, underscoring the Army’s emphasis on operational preparedness and coordinated action in South Kashmir.

The visit also highlighted the importance of synergy among formations in sustaining operations. The coordinated efforts and perseverance of the personnel involved remain central to maintaining operational focus during the ongoing counter-terror campaign.
