Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Reviews Madras Regiment Units in Jammu, Commends Troops’ Professionalism
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of Northern Command and Colonel of The Madras Regiment, visited Madras Regiment units at Miran Sahib, BD Bari and Samba, where he reviewed their functioning and met both serving troops and veterans.
The visit brought the Northern Command chief into direct contact with personnel serving in the region, allowing him to assess the units’ day-to-day working and engage them on issues related to their professional duties, operational preparedness and service life. He also used the interaction to recognise the dedication of soldiers posted in a demanding operational environment and to stress the need to uphold high professional standards.
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma commended the troops for their professionalism, commitment and sense of duty. He exhorted all ranks to keep striving for excellence in every sphere and to remain faithful to the traditions and ethos associated with The Madras Regiment.
