Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Leads Security Review with Multi-Agency Meeting in Srinagar

Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, who serves as the Army Commander of Northern Command, led a Core Group Security Review meeting in Srinagar. This meeting was attended by senior officials representing the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and other security organizations.

The meeting initiated a joint operational review starting January 22, 2026, with the objective of strengthening the security framework in the area. Key points of discussion included improving inter-agency intelligence sharing, enhancing the efficiency of joint operations, and advancing coordination through Joint Control Centres.
