Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Leads Security Review with Multi-Agency Meeting in Srinagar
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, who serves as the Army Commander of Northern Command, led a Core Group Security Review meeting in Srinagar. This meeting was attended by senior officials representing the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and other security organizations.
The meeting initiated a joint operational review starting January 22, 2026, with the objective of strengthening the security framework in the area. Key points of discussion included improving inter-agency intelligence sharing, enhancing the efficiency of joint operations, and advancing coordination through Joint Control Centres.
In his remarks, Lt Gen Sharma highlighted the crucial need for seamless cooperation among all security stakeholders to achieve optimal operational effectiveness in the current security landscape. The review reaffirmed Northern Command’s commitment to integrated planning, joint execution, and real-time coordination to uphold security and stability in the region.
