Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Evaluates Operational Readiness and Technological Integration Along LoC in Kupwara
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, leading the Northern Command, conducted an inspection of units stationed along the Line of Control in the Kupwara sector. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate operational readiness and the effectiveness of the anti-infiltration grid.
During his visit, the Army Commander received a comprehensive briefing on the current security landscape, the deployment strategies in place, and the methods employed to deter infiltration attempts across the Line of Control.
Lt Gen Sharma observed demonstrations showcasing innovative solutions implemented in the field, which integrate Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) with existing military Techniques, Training, and Procedures (TTPs). This integration aims to boost surveillance capabilities, situational awareness, and overall combat effectiveness along the LoC.
The Army Commander expressed his admiration for the troops' efforts in adopting new technologies to bolster operational capabilities within a challenging and dynamic security environment.
During interactions with soldiers stationed in forward areas, he praised the personnel for their resilience, courage, and steadfast commitment to their duties, despite the demanding conditions they face.
Highlighting the necessity for continual enhancement, Lt Gen Sharma encouraged the forces to consistently refine their battle drills and operational skills. He also stressed the importance of becoming more technologically adept, mentally resilient, and tactically flexible.
Officials noted that the visit reinforced the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining a strong anti-infiltration stance while harnessing technological advancements to improve combat readiness and border security along the Line of Control.
