Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Evaluates Northern Command's Counter-Infiltration Efforts in North Kashmir
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Army Command, conducted a thorough review of the security situation and the counter-infiltration grid in North Kashmir today. His visit highlighted the Indian Army's dedication to strengthening security along the Line of Control (LoC) amid increasing infiltration threats, with a display of advanced military technology and strategic oversight.
During his inspection, Lt Gen Sharma observed a "Battle Enabler" demonstration, which showcased the integration of state-of-the-art technologies into the Army's operations. This advanced system incorporates high-tech surveillance equipment, including radars, thermal imaging sites, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and obstacle systems like mines, all supported by ground troops conducting regular ambushes and patrols.
Under Lt Gen Sharma's leadership, the Northern Command has become a leader in military innovation. A report from June 2025 highlighted that the command was the first to assign a Command Subedar Major, aimed at enhancing communication between leadership and ranks.
