Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Assesses Troop Readiness in Siachen and Eastern Ladakh

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, conducted a visit to key forward areas such as the Siachen Brigade, Eastern Ladakh, and the Karakoram Pass. The purpose of his visit was to assess the operational readiness of the troops stationed in these critical regions.

During his inspection, General Sharma praised the exceptional morale, professionalism, and dedication exhibited by the soldiers operating in these harsh and demanding environments. At the Siachen Base Camp, he met with participants of the National Flag Quiz, commending their patriotic zeal and devotion to the country.

The Lieutenant General also marked the return of a mountaineering team that successfully conquered a challenging peak exceeding 7,000 meters in the Siachen sector. Recognizing their unwavering bravery and determination, he hailed the accomplishment as a significant milestone in Indian mountaineering, reflecting the tenacity and perseverance of the Indian Army.

The visit served to bolster the Army Commander's confidence in the troops' preparedness and steadfast dedication as they protect the nation's borders in some of the most challenging conditions.
