Lt Gen P S Shekhawat's Visit to Elevate Professional Military Education at Hisar Military Station
Lt Gen P S Shekhawat, Chief of Staff for the Sapta Shakti Command, recently made a visit to the Command Pre-Staff Course held at the Hisar Military Station. This course, organised by the Ever Onwards Brigade under the DOT Division, is part of the Indian Army’s initiative to enhance professional military education and prepare officers for advanced command and staff roles.
During his visit, Lt Gen Shekhawat engaged with the officers participating in the course. He addressed the importance of the examination associated with the course, explaining its critical role in their career development within the Army. He offered guidance on effective preparation methods and stressed the need for a systematic study approach to military subjects.

The general also discussed the nuances of answer writing, emphasizing that clarity, analytical skills, and concise communication are essential for success in competitive military exams. He urged the officers to focus on thoroughly understanding concepts and presenting their knowledge in a structured and professional way.

Lt Gen Shekhawat underscored the importance of managing time efficiently, both in the preparation stages and during examinations. He recommended that officers establish disciplined study habits and prioritize their efforts to enhance learning and performance.

He also highlighted the significant role of Directing Staff in mentoring and guiding officers through their professional growth, noting that their mentorship is vital in developing future leaders of the Indian Army.
