Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla Assesses Operational and Infrastructure Readiness at Lachit Borphukan Military Station, Assam

Lieutenant General Neeraj Shukla, the General Officer Commanding of Gajraj Corps, conducted a visit to the newly established Lachit Borphukan Military Station located in Dhubri, Assam. The purpose was to evaluate operational readiness and assess the progress of infrastructure development.

During his inspection, the General Officer Commanding reviewed the station's preparedness and the ongoing infrastructure initiatives. He emphasized the crucial role that strong facilities play in reinforcing border security in the area.

General Shukla praised the troops for their professionalism and dedication, acknowledging their relentless efforts in protecting the nation's borders, particularly in the strategically vital regions of Northeast India.

In addition to his review, the General Officer Commanding met with Captain (IN) Girish Kumar (Retd), the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer of Dhubri, recognizing his contributions towards enhancing veteran welfare programs in Lower Assam.

He also engaged with veterans and local civil dignitaries, reiterating the Army's dedication to community engagement and support for veterans.

The visit highlights the Indian Army's ongoing efforts to bolster operational capabilities, advance infrastructure development, and foster civil-military cooperation in the Northeast region.
