Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar Opens State-of-the-Art Sports Facilities at Chandimandir Military Station

Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command, has inaugurated new sports facilities at the Raina Sports Complex located at the Chandimandir Military Station. These new additions include a state-of-the-art six-lane athletic running track, a 2.5-meter jogging track, and a modern water sprinkler system.

The newly developed infrastructure is designed to enhance the standards of physical training and encourage a healthy lifestyle among the troops. This advanced setup is expected to greatly improve the training environment for athletes and personnel stationed at Chandimandir.

Lt Gen Katiyar, in his address at the event, highlighted the critical role of physical fitness and sports in maintaining the operational readiness and overall health of soldiers. He asserted that these developments demonstrate the Army’s dedication to offering top-notch facilities to its personnel.

The upgraded facilities at the Raina Sports Complex are also intended to serve as a center for recreational activities, providing better opportunities for the families living at the military station. The water sprinkler system is a key feature for maintaining the grounds in optimal condition throughout the year.
