Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Unveils Advanced Obstacle Training Facility at AIPT Pune
In a move to bolster combat readiness and training standards, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, inaugurated a cutting-edge Synthetic Military Obstacle Course at the Army Institute of Physical Training (AIPT) in Pune.
This newly established all-weather facility is equipped with intricately designed obstacles and night-training capabilities, providing troops with realistic and intense training scenarios. The course is designed to enhance physical endurance, mental sharpness, and overall operational readiness to meet the modern demands of warfare effectively.

During his address, Lt Gen Seth stressed the importance of physical resilience, mental strength, and the ability to respond under extreme conditions as essential attributes for soldiers in the evolving nature of warfare. He remarked that such advanced infrastructure is integral in preparing troops for the complexities and dynamics of modern battle environments.
Lt Gen Seth further underscored the importance of specialized training facilities like the Synthetic Military Obstacle Course in developing a force that is ready to face the diverse challenges posed by future conflicts.

The inauguration was attended by senior officers, instructors, and trainees, marking a significant advancement in the Indian Army's training capabilities.
