During Exercise Rudra Shakti–2026, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, observed the Black Mace Brigade as they demonstrated New Generation Equipment (NGE) and New Technology Equipment (NTE). This event marked a significant move towards technology-driven military operations.

The exercise highlighted the use of advanced drones, loitering munitions, and innovations developed through indigenous research and development. These included drone jammers, repair platforms, and AI-enabled systems for detecting enemy drones, reflecting the Indian Army's evolving combat capabilities. The demonstrations signaled significant progress in self-reliance and quick technology adoption in line with the Army’s Decade of Transformation initiative.

General Seth witnessed live demonstrations of kamikaze drone strikes and the precise delivery of munitions, all executed by domestically developed platforms. These showcased the enhanced ability for stand-off lethality and battlefield dominance, enabling effective responses to new types of threats in various conflict scenarios.

Lt Gen Seth praised the brigade's focus on innovation, stressing that the swift adoption of technology and development of indigenous capabilities are crucial for creating a force ready to handle high-intensity, multi-domain warfare.
